Derek Abbott
Derek Abbott is a full Professor within the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Adelaide, Australia. His interests are in the area of multidisciplinary physics and electronic engineering applied to complex systems. His research programs span a number of areas including biomedical engineering and computational neuroscience. He has won a number of awards including the South Australian Tall Poppy Award for Science (2004), the Premier’s SA Great Award in Science and Technology for outstanding contributions to South Australia (2004), and an Australian Research Council (ARC) Future Fellowship (2012).
