Prasanna Desikan

Prasanna DesikanPrasanna Desikan is currently Senior Research Scientist at Division of Applied Research, Office of Clinical Excellence, Allina Health. Previously he worked in Boston Scientific on advanced remote patient monitoring system. Prior to that, he worked as a Senior Researcher for Infobionics Inc, based in Eden Prairie, Minn., where he was actively involved in developing a novel Cellular Database Management System. His current research focus is on applying data mining and social network analysis techniques on healthcare data for improved care delivery and population health. He has been an invited speaker forums on many Healthcare Business Intelligence, Real World Evidence and Predictive Analytics forums. He has co-organized a tutorial on Data Mining for Healthcare Management at SDM 2011, PAKDD 2011, and Health Informatics, Imaging and Systems Biology Conference (HISB), 2011. He has been a co-organizer for workshops on Data mining for healthcare management at ICHI 2013 and PAKDD (2010 to 2013). He received his Ph.D and M.S in Computer Science from University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, USA.
